Today, WARC released its Effective 100 List 2024 where GroupM—WPP’s media investment group—agencies made up 80% of the top five “top media agencies” category that highlights work effectiveness based on location. Within that list, Mindshare New York ranked first, Wavemaker Mumbai ranked second, EssenceMediacom New York ranked fourth and EssenceMediacom Mumbai ranked fifth, respectively. In the “top campaigns” category, GroupM agencies held three of the top 10 spots. Wavemaker Mumbai, in partnership with Ogilvy Mumbai, came in first for its “Shah Rukh Khan-My-Ad” Cadbury campaign—which also won the Creative Effectiveness Grand Prix at Cannes Lions—EssenceMediacom London & Mumbai came in second with its “Keep Girls in School” campaign for Whisper and Mindshare New York came in seventh with its “See My Skin” campaign for Vaseline.
